I was in India for three weeks visiting family. I hadn't had a chance to go home in a long time. I had a great trip catching up with family and friends and roaming around and shopping. I had a blast. I bought loads of costume jewelry and colorful kurtas (long Indian tunics). I will share pictures of these things and the clothes and the country. But on this trip I took more pictures of family and friends.
Do you find that when you travel you see things in a different way? The break from the routine also provides a fresh perspective on life. Things that didn't seem possible, seem possible. Projects that were put away, resurface in your head.
That's what travel does to me at least. So this trip has influenced how I think about this space. There will be changes happening here so watch this space!
The things that will change are the look and the content. I am going to work with a designer to redesign the blog. So the blog is going to look different, yippeee!
For a long, long time I have been thinking about posting a series on being creative. In the new year I am going to do it! I have been worrying about "who the hell am I to talk about being creative". After all I am not a famous artist. But the people who inspire me are those who work and manage their homes and errands and still do something creative..... for themselves. That's what I identify with. So I think it will be fun to talk about being creative in the midst of everyday life. Do join me for that and share your story.
And I am going to share more of my creations too.
But enough of all this talk, here are some pictures of Amsterdam's international Schipol airport - all dressed up for Christmas. It was a stopover on my way to India.
Hi, Amisha! I will be looking forward to your creative posts! I am not artistic, per se, but I love trying to live life in a creative way and to view the world with an artist's eye....one of my favorite 'coaches' in creativity is Ali Edwards. I love her book Life Artist and try to incorporate those principles in my daily living.
