Pink Flowers for Pink Saturday

Time for some pink. Flowers from spring time again! Fall colors are still developing so I give you a picture from spring time.

 

How have you been? I've had a busy, busy week but I did manage to pack in some reading and was delighted with the books I read. 'The Dark Road to Darjeeling' was fantastic, everything I had hoped it to be. And I read another mystery by Amy Patricia Meade, that was fun too! I also read an Earlene Fowler book 'State Fair', another of my favorite authors and a perfect treat. And I am trying to read 'Swan Thieves' by Elizabeth Kostova but that book is slow going. Any book recommendations for me? I confess I favor mysteries over all genres.

On the side of the road

I saw these flowers growing on the side of the road. They weren't deliberately planted and they certainly weren't being tended to. But look how gorgeous they are!

Pink!

First and foremost, I'd like to thank Beverly for featuring my blog today! And here is the pink picture for today - a vignette of summer as we head into autumn/fall.

I'd like to thank Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday, through this party I have made new friends and have visited the world from my armchair. I would also like to thank my friend Karen Cox for introducing me this party and if you have never been to Karen's, you must. She is the kindest soul I know and a very, very talented artist!

In honor of being featured, I am giving away a necklace. The beads are turquoise and the necklace can be worn at two lengths, really close to the neck or some what looser. A Flower Shop in New York

Funny how creativity works. You meet people, you see things and somewhere the brain tucks away all that information. And it brews and it percolates and alchemy happens. And something creative hops out. If that's not magic then I am not sure what is.

Picture taken by me in NYC last summer and manipulated today in Photoshop. I develop software for a living, but I'd like to take a moment to take my virtual hat off to the developers of Photoshop. I am so impressed with their efforts and product.

Pink Flowers

I was at Falmouth, Cape Cod last Sunday and spotted these in a shop. Ever since I started participating in Pink Saturday I think I notice more pink things. Things I would have walked by, I actually notice and if I have my camera I stop and take a picture. So I had to stop and take pictures of these pink flowers in the window of a shop. And in case you are wondering, these are silk flowers.
